i mentioned before how i was on the internet as early as 7 years old, so anime really put together my view on queerness before i could comprehend my own sexuality and what lgbt really meant, a lot positive, a lot negative. i'm putting here a lot of queer anime that i've watched for myself to archive, but viewers could feel compelled to watch them as well, so i made it less me-centric
all the shows here either have queerness or queer characters and relationships at the forefront of the show and it's content regardless of the show being marketed as BL/GL or not, as queerness lies more beyond just sexuality and gender identity, but also through the ideals of breaking societal gender and relationship norms. my summaries will include queer characters and content/themes so you can discern what is for you and what isn't, content warnings will be provided as well
the site is inspired by the queer anime database, though i don't intend to upkeep this as a database but rather just keep tabs on what i enjoy. though the site is discontinued, you can view it here. special thanks to all my neoneighbors giving me recommendations :)
